The Garden Park is our massive garden centre at Trago in Newton Abbot – the largest in the South West! In addition to thousands of plants, gardening tools, landscaping materials, pots, garden ornaments and the cheapest compost around, you’ll also find 12 stunning show gardens! Designed by Chelsea Gold Medal Winner, Paul Stone, these include the Devon Garden (complete with clapper bridge and mini pub), Sensory Garden, Canal Street (with full size barge and locks), Japanese Garden, Railway Children Garden…and more. Offering a quiet place amongst our busy retail areas, these gardens will delight and inspire you.

The Garden Park is also the venue for a regular series of events, which are mostly free, for gardening enthusiasts and families looking for a great day out! Our events include – creating the perfect pond, the hanging basket weekend, garden machinery demonstration days, creating & maintaining brilliant lawns, pruning workshops and so much more! We also love photography at the Garden Park! And being the perfect venue to fill your photo roll at we’re pleased to host free photographic classes and a competition too!

Next to the Garden Park is our Staple Hill Servery restaurant and Towers Tea Room. Enjoy a meal or cream tea (jam on top, Devonshire style) and enjoy the fabulous view over the park and show gardens.
